On Tuesday, April 21, Alex Russell made Prep Cross Country history by signing a letter of intent to Union University.  Union is a private Christian school in Jackson, Tennessee. Alex is the first Prep student, according to Coach Malcolm Saxon, to sign a scholarship for Cross Country.

This year Alex has shocked many people with his outstanding times, including in the mile and two-mile run.  His 10 minute flat time for the 2-mile race is the one to be beaten in the MAIS.

Alex will hopefully continue his dominance next year on the collegiate level.
