On Thursday, February 16, at 6:30 the varsity soccer team will play against Jackson Academy at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium.

Although this may be confusing, it is not a playoff game but a game that decides who will go into playoffs as number one and number two seed. JA and Prep have a 1-1 record against each other so far in the season and astonishingly have tied in every tie breaking category that would have decided a number one team otherwise.

Number one seed will play Copiah, number four seed, in the first round of playoffs and have the ability to host the state championship. The number two seed will play MRA, the number three seed, in their first round of playoffs.

Senior Brent Hall said, “I believe firmly that we will beat JA again and I want to be able to play my last state championship at my home field.” The rest of the team could not agree more. The soccer team needs support Thursday night so come out and be loud.
