The Sentry

Tanner Gough

Tanner Gough, Senior Editor

Tanner Gough, member of the 2021 graduating class, serves as Senior Editor of The Sentry after serving as co-editor with Olivia Moore last school year. Being on the Sentry staff since his freshman year (2017), he has risen through the ranks as a staff writer, News Editor, and finally, Senior Editor.

Tanner is excited to lead the paper and its staff once more. His experience through the years and passion for keeping up with the news have prepared him to serve in this capacity.
Away from the publications room, Tanner is Head Manager of the Varsity football team, a position he has held for three years. Off campus, he attends Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson, and is the sibling of Thomas Gough, a freshman. Also sharing the house with him are two miniature dachshunds, Maggie and Lucy.
Activities that occupy his spare time include spending quality time with friends and family, playing the organ and piano for church services and weddings, and keeping track of all things weather. If you're tired of that mainstream weather app always being inaccurate, Tanner is your guy. He's always right (most of the time).
