The storyline focuses on teen girl Makani Young and her quest to find the person who is killing her fellow students. Her and her friends, Oliver, Darby, Zachariah, Alex, Rodrigo, and Caleb, investigate the murders, in addition to some fatal trouble themselves.

The movie provides the comforting, familiar feel of a slasher movie while also including terrifying jump scares and a surprising ending. The language and some explicit, violent scenes do warrant the reading of trigger warnings. However, the movie is absolutely worth watching and is great for this Halloween season.
