Prep student media shines in MSPA contest

On Wednesday, March 30, the Mississippi Scholastic Press Association announced the news publication, broadcast, podcast, and streaming finalists and winners from its annual Best of Mississippi contest. The Best of Mississippi honorees in yearbook and literary magazine were announced in the spring.

Although over 30 Prep students were set to travel by bus to the awards ceremony and accompanying convention, a forecast of dangerous weather forced the conference to be cancelled. Awards were announced via a video posted by the MSPA.

The Best of Show competition covered student product from the current semester, while the Best of Mississippi contest covers everything from February 2021 to February 2022. A complete list of Best of Mississippi winners, along with links to individual winning pieces, can be viewed on the MSPA website. Prep winners and finalists are listed below.
