Ms. Norma Cox, Prep’s head librarian, left the country on August 25 and will be traveling through Jordan and Egypt. Ms.Cox has traveled the world before and been on several Prep tripsk including ones to China and Iceland, but she has never been to Africa.
Going to Egypt was a childhood dream and Ms. Cox admitted she was “kinda freaking out” about exploring the country. She is partnering with Middle School social studies teacher Coach Les Triplett during this trip by providing a learning experience for his seventh grade geography students. The students prepared questions on poster boards which Ms. Cox will answer through her Instagram while abroad.
This account, @where_in_the_world_is_mrs_cox, will be posting updates as she travels across the Dead Sea, Mt.Nebo, Wadi Rum, Nile River, Cairo, Great Pyramids, and more.
Ms. Cox invites all Prep students to follow her along as she travels through history.
