Jackson Prep football has been provided a brand new locker room, and this is a major upgrade for the players and coaches. The locker room renovations started in May of 2024 and ended in late July, so the people who were tasked with this project did a great job getting it done in a timely manner and making it look excellent.
The construction crew cleaned out the locker room, removed all the lockers, sandblasted and repainted them. They applied an epoxy coating to the floors, repainted the walls, completely renovated the bathroom, and installed brand new showers. As a finishing touch they put a huge custom PREP lighting feature that suspends from the ceiling, which looks fantastic. This new space is not only functional but also inviting, so everyone feels welcome and excited.
Moreover, the attention to detail in the design helps to create an atmosphere that fosters teamwork
d camaraderie. The players can now enjoy a modern environment that motivates them to perform their best. The renovations have made the locker room a place where athletes can relax and prepare for their upcoming challenges, as well as celebrate their achievements.
With ample space and improved amenities, the locker room is a true reflection of the program’s commitment to excellence, ensuring that both players and coaches can thrive in a comfortable setting. The equipment room that is adjacent to the locker room has been outfitted with new shelving, hooks for helmets, hanging space for jerseys, and commercial grade bins for adequate storage for other supplies.
All of these enhancements contribute to a positive experience that will leave a lasting impression on many teams to come. Sophomore receiver, Tripp Witcher stated, “the new cushioned seats are extremely comfortable, and the speakers are great for getting hyped up for practice or games.” Many thanks to the Jackson Prep Booster Club for making this renovation possible.
