McGraw Named “Player of the Week”
Senior Garners 44% of Vote in Three-Way Online Poll.
Each week, three high school football players are selected as finalists to be voted upon as the Blitz 16 Player of the Week, presented by WAPT Channel 16 and sponsored by BankPlus. This week’s recipient was Prep senior Ian McGraw.
The selection is based upon performance in the games occurring the week before and then voted on by members of the public. Several Jackson Prep players have been selected for this honor in the past. The last week of the 2012 season, senior running back Hamel McGraw won Player of the Week. This week his younger brother, Ian, joined him.
Ian registered 9 carries for 51 yards from scrimmage, 1 reception for 21 yards, and recorded two rushing touchdowns in the 35-0 win over Lamar School.
