Fifth Championship for Soccer Team

On Saturday, Feb. 21, Jackson Prep’s boys’ soccer team won the fifth state championship in a row.

This is the first time that five consecutive state championships have been won by any school in MAIS history in soccer.

The team played MRA in the championship and started off the game with a quick goal in the first fifteen minutes. Prep scored two more goals to lead MRA 3 to 0 at the beginning of the game. MRA scored a late goal against Prep in the first half. Prep started the second half slow letting MRA score another goal to make the score 3 to 2. Prep was on their toes for the rest of the game trying to take the victory. Prep persevered and won the game 3 to 2 with one of the closest games this year.
