Précis Pageant Honors Students
The 2016 Précis Pageant, held on Monday, January 11, was a special night for Jackson Prep’s senior class. The pageant is an annual event awarding seniors for showing qualities such a “Most Athletic,” “Most Charming,” and “Wittiest.” The pageant was led by Ms. Anna Griffin and her Précis yearbook staff. Anna Miller Rebich, Précis Senior Editor, and Mallory Abraham, Co-editor, organized and planned the event. The announcers of the show were Conner Watson and Sydney Chrislip. The theme of the evening was “A Royal Night.”
Throughout the evening, talented Prep students provided entertainment by singing and reciting poetry. Kiarri Little recited the monologue “Love yourself” and the PrepTones, Prep’s a cappella group, sang “Build Me Up Buttercup.” Maddie Diket, Logan Clark, Emily Box, Holman Buchanan, Joseph Upton, Beth Ann Young, Lawson Marchetti, Madeline Porter, and the band The Elders, added entertainment for the show.
The pageant is where “Mr. and Miss Senior Class” and “Mr. and Miss Jackson Prep” are announced. Noah Slack and Anna Miller Rebich were named “Mr. and Miss Senior Class,” while JC Pride and Haley Litchliter were named “Mr. and Miss Jackson Prep.” The winners of “Most Handsome” and “Most Beautiful” were John Wooley and Mallory Abraham.
