Amite, La — Jackson Prep knocked off the Yellowjackets of Oak Forest last Friday 57-7 in what was a key road win for the Patriots.

Jerrion Ealy led the charge for the Patriots as he totaled 129 all-purpose yards, and he also added four touchdowns to the team’s total. Quarterback Chance Lovertich also kept the Patriots offense rolling as he went 8-11 passing for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

in place that would keep the Yellowjacket offense in check, and their gameplan worked out just the way they wanted it to. Prep held the normally explosive Oak Forest offense to only 138 total yards and 11 first downs. The Patriots also forced the Yellowjackets into three turnovers. One of the forced turnovers came from Junior defensive linemen Jack Gideon who came up with a momentum-building interception in the first quarter.

Jackson Prep will return home this Friday to play Madison Ridgeland Academy in what will be an important late-season test for the Patriots. The game will kickoff from Patriot Field at 7 pm.
