Flowood, Ms – On Thursday, September 20, 2018, the Jackson Prep Patriots Junior High Football team beat the Parklane Pioneers by a score of 26-0. It was a well-fought game and definitely the hardest of the season so far. Coach Zander Romano got his fifth win of the season and is hoping for three more.

The game started off with the Patriots on defense. The Patriots first offensive play was a four yard run by Sam McMullan. The drive ended up being punted away by Rives Reynolds for 38 yards and was not returned due to a fair catch. On the fourth drive of the game and Prep’s second drive, William Deas, scored on a 28 yard rush. At halftime, the score was 13-0 with the Patriots up.

At the end of the game, the Patriots were on top and advance to 5-0 on the season. This is the first game that the Patriots didn’t score on their first drive.

The players that scored on the night were William Deas with two touchdowns, Sam McMullan with one touchdown, Cy craig with one touchdown, and Owen Ishee, an eighth grader, with one touchdown.

The Jackson Prep Patriots take on the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots on Thursday, September 27 at Prep at 7:00 pm.
