Marcus Canoy is a new football and baseball coach here at Jackson Prep. When Coach Canoy received a phone call one day asking him to coach at Prep, and he felt like God was leading him here.
Coach Canoy attended Hillcrest High School in Jackson, where he played basketball, baseball, and football.

Coach Canoy went to Mississippi College in Clinton, where he majored in criminal justice. He also received a master’s degree in social science at MC, and a master’s of divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Coach Canoy lives in Laurelwood in Flowood and has three kids. Kayleigh, his oldest, is a sophomore at Prep, Nolan is in 7th grade at Prep, and his youngest, Jase, is 8 years old. The family has two dogs (Luther and Rex) and three cats (Tiger, Mae, and Sassy).
