Week 11 football preview — Parklane

Week 11 football preview -- Parklane

Flowood, MS — As the 2018 season draws to a close, Jackson Prep still has one more opponent to face before the postseason begins. Prep will hit the road again Friday in a conference road game at Parklane Academy, and although the Parklane Pioneers have struggled as of late the Patriots will still have to show up prepared if they want to leave McComb with a win. They will also be playing another game shorthanded as senior safety Spence Graves will be unavailable following a hamstring injury during Wednesday’s team practice.

Parklane will enter with a record of 5-4 with two of their losses coming in the teams last two contests. In their most recent game, the Pioneers traveled to Jackson Academy where they struggled on both ends of the ball and finished on the short end of a 35-10 game.

Game Overview:

Time: 7 pm, Friday, Oct. 26

Player of the Week (New Hope):

Angelo Levon (Sr.) : 12 Rushes / 111 yards / 2 TD

What to Watch for:

Parklane’s rushing offense:

The Pioneer ground attack is the backbone of their offensive gameplan. As a team, they have rushed for 2190 yards on the season while they only have 524 through the air. However, if they want to have any success Friday they will have to mix up their play calling in order to move the ball on the Patriot defense.
