On Friday, October 9th, the Patriots hosted the Washington Generals from Greenville for a quick matchup before the rough weather of Hurricane Delta would interfere with the game. Kickoff was moved to 5:30 p.m. instead of the usual 7:00 p.m. Several key players for the home team Patriots such as William Deas, Matt Jones, and Braedon Mabry did not play in the game due to injuries. This did not seem to stall the Patriots as scoring came early and often in the first half of play. Leading 42-0 at the half, Coach Ricky Black let off the gas as he pulled the starting players out of the game and began to sub in many new faces. The Patriots won 42-0, advancing their record to 6-1. Black is now just one win away from reaching a historic milestone of 400 career wins. The Patriots face off against the MRA Patriots in a rematch of the 2019 6A MAIS State Championship. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at MRA.
