Football Recap: Prep over Parklane, 34-14

On Friday, September 16, Jackson Prep faced Parklane in the fifth game of their season. Jackson Prep’s record went to 5-0 with a final score of 34-14.

On offense, Paxton Thompson led the offense where he threw for 176 yards on 17 passing attempts. He also accounted for 3 touchdowns. William Laird was the most targeted receiver in this game. He had a total of 5 receptions for 99 yards.

The defense has continued to show up and is showing no signs of slowing down. Duncan Matthews led the team with 8 tackles. Major Quinn and Peyton Puckett have burst onto the scene for defense where they both forced turnovers against the Parklane. The Patriots continue to dominate in all aspects and it will be fun to watch them as the season progresses.
